NIOS Stream 1 Class 10th Exam 2022

The stream 1 category of NIOS board conducts an exam for the first-time appearing class 10th candidates. The NIOS exam pattern is easy for an average student. The board has a good reputation for delivering results across all subjects.

If you fail in any CBSE/ICSE or any state board exam, you can still complete your class 10th education with NIOS stream 1. The NIOS offers an open and distance learning education for its students.

Plus, NIOS is a government-run open school course organized by the Human Resource Development (Government of India).

Eligibility criteria for Class 10th Stream 1

Here are the eligibility criteria for the stream 1 students of class 10.

  1. You must carry a class 8th certificate from an affiliated Board. A self-certificate is also permissible.
  2. You must be 14 years of age by 31st January 2020 to give Block 1 (April/May) examination.
  3. The minimum age should be 14 years by 31st July 2020 for Block 2 (Aug/Sept) examination.
  4. The stream 1 examination is only for the first-time appearing students.

How to apply for Class 10th NIOS Admission

  1. Visit the official website to register for the online admission registration.
  2. A valid email ID and password to fill up the online application process.
  3. Click on the “admission” tab after you are done with registration.
  4. Proceed to login and enter your basic and optional details.
  5. Generate OTP and verify it.
  6. Upload the scanned copy of your documents, ID proofs, and photographs.
  7. After completion, it generates a username and password.
  8. Review all your filled details and make payment by Debit/Credit card.

Choice of Medium of Instructions

Medium for Examination: The examination question papers will be bilingual. That is, in Hindi and English. These rules will be applicable to secondary and senior secondary. You will have to answer in the language of the question paper you choose. Like if you choose the English language question paper, then you have to answer in English only.

Subjects offered by NIOS For Stream 1 Class 10th

  1. Class 10th candidates can select subjects offered by NIOS. They have to study subjects in the curriculum: any one or two of 15 languages, mathematics, science and technology, economics, business studies, home science, typewriting, word processing, psychology, Indian culture and heritage, accountancy, painting and social studies.
  2. Each subject can carry more than one paper. NIOS offers a minimum of five and a maximum of seven subjects.
  3. Students can choose between three languages for their medium of instruction.

How To Check NIOS Admit Card 2022

  1. Visit the official NIOS website – sdmis.nios.ac.in to see the homepage
  2. Click on the link of the NIOS Admit card 2022
  3. Enter your 12-digit enrollment number and select your “Hall Ticket” type
  4. Click on “SUBMIT” to generate NIOS admit card
  5. Download it and take a print out

How to Check NIOS Result 2022?

  1. Go to the official website of the NIOS i,e., nios.ac.in
  2. Check the link – NIOS 10th Results 2022
  3. Enter your details
  4. Click on the “SUBMIT” button.
  5. Your result will appear on the screen.

You can even download or get a print out of the result from the nios website.

NIOS Class 10 Admission Date

Students from all regions can appear in the class 10th exam conducted by NIOS. Those who wish to secure an admission in NIOS need to fill up the application form before the last date. The NIOS admission 10th class last date is 31st January.

The students can only register after the last date with the payment of a late fee. The late fine admissions are available until March 15th.
